Customize the login widget

Change the colors, text and labels of the OTP+ login widget to match your store.

Find the options

  1. Go to Settings > Customizations.
  2. Edit the cards on the left. The live preview on the right shows your changes.
  3. Click Save in the bar at the top of the page.

On stores with new customer accounts, this tab only works after you turn on Enable login modal in Login methods. Until then you'll see Enable the login modal first.

Everything on this tab is free, except the OTP+ Pro card at the top. See OTP+ Pro.

Login avatar

The avatar is a small tile with your store's letter (or your logo, on Pro) on the login and verify screens.

  • Untick Show brand avatar on login screens to hide it. Do this if your theme already shows a logo there.

Login field customization

Style the email and password fields:

  • Background color and Font color
  • Font size (8 to 48 px)
  • Border radius (0 to 100 %)
  • Width (0 to 200 %)

Open Form text & labels to change the words:

  • Show labels for email and password on the storefront.
  • Email label, Password label
  • Email placeholder, Password placeholder
  • Login error message — shown when a wrong email or password is entered
  • Button text

Button design

These settings change the main sign-in buttons:

  • Button radius (0 to 100 px)
  • Background color
  • Text color

Advanced (SMS texts)

This card appears only when SMS / OTP login is on.

Open Phone number field & verification texts to change:

  • Label and Help text
  • Invalid phone number message
  • Non-digit characters message
  • Error message to verify code
  • No connection error message

Open Buttons & link to change:

  • Login via SMS button label
  • Back button label
  • Continue button label
  • Verify button label
  • Resend SMS link text

Messages

Login error message in the Messages card appears if a customer already has an account created directly with email and password.

Common problems

My changes don't show on the store. Click Save in the bar at the top of the page. Also check the app embed is on. See Turn on the OTP+ app embed.

I can't find the SMS text options. Turn on SMS / OTP in Login methods first. The Advanced card then appears.

I want my own logo or SMS sender name. Those are part of OTP+ Pro.
