Turn on the OTP+ app embed

Why this matters

The app embed is how OTP+ loads on your storefront. While it's off:

• the login widget doesn't show,
• verification gates and page locks don't run.

Steps

1. In OTP+, click any of these buttons. They all open your theme editor:
   • Open theme editor on the setup page,
   • Enable app embed in the App embed is not enabled banner in Settings,
   • Enable app embed or Enable OTP+ on your storefront on the Dashboard.
2. The theme editor opens for your published (live) theme, with the app embeds shown.
3. Find OTP+ Social Login and make sure it is switched on.
4. Click Save in the theme editor.
5. Go back to OTP+. The app checks the embed again when you return.
   • On the setup page you'll see Widget live and Enabled.
   • On the Dashboard you'll see Your OTP+ widget is live.

The embed has no settings of its own. You control everything from OTP+ Settings.

Only your published theme counts

OTP+ checks the theme that is live on your store. If you turn the embed on in a copy or draft theme, OTP+ will still say it's off. When you publish a different theme later, turn the embed on in that theme too.

Common problems

I can't find OTP+ Social Login in the theme editor. Open the app embeds section of the theme editor. Make sure you're editing your live theme. The easiest way is to use one of the OTP+ buttons above, which open the right place.

OTP+ still says "App embed not detected yet".

1. Check you clicked Save in the theme editor.
2. Check you edited the published theme, not a copy.
3. Click Check again in the OTP+ pop-up.

The banner in Settings says the embed is off, but I turned it on. Reload the Settings page. If you changed themes since, turn the embed on in the theme that is live now.
