Frequently Asked Questions

Securify × Gorgias Integration

Is the Gorgias integration free?

Yes, completely free. All features are included — Risk Level, Fraud Score (0–100), disposable email detection, VPN/proxy detection, Shopify tag status, open risky orders, one-click "Apply High Risk Tag" action, and on-demand "Scan Again" rescan.

Do I need to configure anything after installing?

After OAuth2 authorization, the sidebar widget and HTTP integration are created automatically. You’ll see a settings page where you can optionally connect your Shopify store to enable tagging features and open orders count.

Where does Securify get its risk data from?

Securify validates customer emails using its own email risk analysis engine. Results are cached for fast lookups — the widget typically loads in under 200ms with no latency impact on your agents. You can force a fresh scan anytime with the "Scan Again" button.

Does Securify slow down Gorgias ticket loading?

No. Securify serves widget data from its cached validation results — typically under 200ms. There are no blocking API calls on ticket open.

What happens if a customer email hasn’t been scanned?

The widget will show "NO DATA — Email not yet scanned". Click Scan Again in the widget to trigger an on-demand scan — results are returned in seconds.

Can I apply Shopify tags from inside Gorgias?

Yes. Agents can click Apply High Risk Tag directly in the widget. Securify writes the "High Risk Customer" tag to the Shopify customer profile in real time — no need to switch to Shopify Admin. The widget auto-refreshes to show the updated tag status.

Does Securify write anything to Shopify without my approval?

No. The "High Risk Customer" tag is only applied when an agent explicitly clicks the "Apply High Risk Tag" button in the widget. No automatic writes to Shopify.

What OAuth scopes does Securify request from Gorgias?

openid, offline, account:read, integrations:read, integrations:write, customers:read, tickets:read. No write access to tickets, messages, or customer data.

What happens if I uninstall Securify from Gorgias?

Securify receives an uninstall webhook, cleans up the HTTP integration, and removes stored tokens. The widget stops rendering in all tickets. You can reinstall at any time.

Is my customer data safe?

Securify reads the customer email from the Gorgias ticket and queries its own validation database. No customer PII is sent to third parties at ticket-open time.
